Diercks finds Victory Lane in Davenport's season finale

Pulling double duty, Spencer Diercks invaded Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Saturday night for the Iowa Governor’s Cup State Championship. Earning the 18th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win Hoker Truck Series sanctioned feature via preliminary events, Spencer passed eight cars in the 40-lapper to place 10th.

In a field of 24 Modifieds, Spencer secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory. Rolling off seventh, Diercks marched to his eighth win of the season over Eric Barnes, Bryce Garnhart, Ryan Duhme, and Brandon Durbin. (Mike Ruefer photo)
