Spencer Diercks bags fourth win of the season at Davenport
Friday night saw Spencer Diercks kick off the three-day weekend at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) piloting his Diercks LTD No. 29 Modified. Starting the night off with an 8-lap heat race victory, Diercks received the second-starting spot for the feature via the redraw. Turning back challenges from a charging Brunson Behning, Spencer rolled to his fourth win of the season over Behning, Ryan Duhme, Mitch Morris, and Matt Ryan.
The following night at West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa), Spencer locked his spot into the feature with a second place finish in his heat behind Denny Eckrich. Tracking down race-leader Derrick Stewart, Diercks made a pass for the lead late that fell short, dropping him back to a second place finish behind Stewart with Chris Zogg, Dakota Simmons, and Denny Eckrich rounding out the Top-5.
On Sunday afternoon at Benton County Speedway (Vinton, Iowa), Diercks edged his way into the A-Main with a sixth place finish in his heat. Rolling off 16th, Spencer charged through the field early and began challenging for the top spot. After closing in on the leaders, race officials deemed he made contact with the second-running car, sending him to the tail. He logged a 20th place outing in the 20-lap affair.
