Diercks bags Top 5 finish with Lucas Oil MLRA at Farley
Spencer Diercks visited Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) on Thursday evening competing in the Modified ranks for the Thursday Night Thunder. After passing six cars in his heat race to place third, Spencer improved four spots in the 20-lap feature to register a fourth place finish behind Jason Pershy, Brandon Durbin, and Ryan Duhme with Jeff Larson coming in fifth.
On Friday night hopping behind the wheel of his Floyd’s Waste Systems No. 29 Late Model, Diercks headed to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the 12th annual Slocum 50. Drawing 35 Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) entries, Spencer logged an eight place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. Needing a third place finish or better to make the $10,555-to-win A-Main, Diercks was an early retiree from his consolation event.
The following night at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Independence Day Shootout, Spencer edged his way into the main event with a fourth place finish in his heat. With $5,000 on the line, Diercks charged through the field seven spots to place fifth behind Payton Looney, Bobby Pierce, Jeremiah Hurst, and Brian Shirley.
