Top 10 finish with MARS Racing Series at Lee County

Thursday night found Spencer Diercks in action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) as the MARS Racing Series opened its season. With 21 cars on hand, Diercks secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 10-lap heat race victory. Rolling off seventh, Spencer dropped seven spots to place 12th. (Todd Healy photo)

On Friday evening at Pepsi Lee County Speedway (Donnellson, Iowa), Spencer followed up the fifth fastest time in his group with a sixth place finish in his heat. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Diercks jumped up four spots in the 30-lapper to register a seventh place finish.
