Diercks makes two of three World of Outlaws features at Davenport

Thursday night found Spencer Diercks in action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) defending his home turf against the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series for the three-day Quad Cities 150 presented by Hoker Trucking. With 38 Late Models entered, Diercks secured his spot into the opening night feature with a runner-up finish in his B-Main after failing to qualify in his heat. For another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature on Friday, Spencer timed in seventh fastest in his qualifying group before grabbing the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Retiring early from the 40-lapper, Diercks pulled off with 11 circuits remaining.

On Saturday evening, Diercks came in sixth in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $30,000-to-win Quad Cities 150 with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place fourth or better, Spencer fell one spot shy with a fifth-place outing.
