Flat tire while running in top-five with Lucas Oil MLRA at Davenport

Friday night found Spencer Diercks in action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) pulling double duty in the Super Late Model and Modified ranks. Drawing 33 Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) entries, Diercks followed up the fourth fastest time in his group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Spencer was running in fourth when he suffered a flat right-rear tire with six laps remaining. (Mike Ruefer photo)

In his Modified, Spencer passed four cars in the feature to come home fifth.

Mother Nature won the tour’s stop at West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa) on Saturday.
