Diercks follows World of Outlaws to Mississippi Thunder

Spencer Diercks returned with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on Friday night as the tour headed north to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the two-day Dairyland Showdown. In a field of 38 cars, Diercks timed in 14th fastest in his group before placing sixth in his heat. Needing a fourth-place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night feature, Spencer posted a runner-up finish behind Chris Simpson. The following night, Spencer grabbed the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race, which positioned him 16th on the starting grid for the $22,500-to-win Dairyland Showdown finale. Improving one spot in the 60-lap affair, Spencer posted a 15th-place outing.
