Spencer Diercks
Runner-up finish in season opener at Boothill Speedway
Making a 12-hour trek south, Spencer Diercks traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday afternoon to kick off his 2022 season with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). Drawing 35 cars for the opening round of the Ronny Adams Memorial, Diercks laid down the fastest-time in his group before picking up a heat race victory. Rolling off on the pole for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Spencer dropped one spot in the 35-lapper to register a second-place finish. He trailed Brian Rickman to the checkers with Logan Martin, Hunter Rasdon, and Morgan Bagley rounding out the Top-5 finishers. (Millie Tanner photo | Turn 3 Images)
The following night, Spencer’s third-to-second run in his heat positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win finale. Fading outside the Top-10 in the 50-lap affair, Diercks logged a 13th-place outing.
