Spencer Diercks enjoys strong showing with Hoker Trucking Series
Spencer Diercks kicked off his Memorial Day weekend with the Hoker Trucking Series on Friday afternoon with a short trip to Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa). Following a fourth-place finish in his heat race, Diercks dropped two spots in the 40-lap feature to finish sixth. (Mike Ruefer photos)
He also piloted his Modified to a fourth-place finish in the feature after picking up a heat race win earlier in the night.
In a field of 27 Hoker Trucking Series entries on Saturday at Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa), Spencer’s fifth-to-third run in his heat placed him on the second row for the main event. With $3,000 on the line, Diercks notched a sixth-place finish in the 25-lapper.
On Sunday afternoon at East Moline Speedway (East Moline, Ill.), Diercks charged from sixth to pick up the win in his heat before placing fourth in the feature. He followed Jake Neal, Jonathan Brauns, and Dave Eckrich across the line with Justin Kay coming in fifth.
Stopping at West Liberty Raceway (West Liberty, Iowa) on Sunday, Spencer came in second in the 20-lap Late Model feature after finishing fifth in his heat.
