Austin Theiss Competes in CCSDS Opening Weekend

Behind the wheel of the Northside plumbing Supply #7D Super Late Model, Austin Theiss visited Timberline Speedway (Maud, Texas) on Friday night for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) opening weekend. In a field of 25 cars, Theiss locked his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind B.J. Robinson. With $2,000 on the line, Austin slipped back to a 17th place outing in the 35-lapper.

On Saturday the CCSDS picked back up at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the $3,000 top prize. Registering a 3rd place finish in his heat, Theiss locked into the 7th-starting position for the A-Main. After working his way into the Top 5, Austin was forced to pull off after his fan belt came loose. He was credited with a 16th place outing. (Woody Hampton photo)
