Mitchell tops Crate field at Texarkana 67 Speedway

After Mother Nature postponed Friday night’s Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event, Jon Mitchell ventured to Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) on Friday afternoon to enter his Crate Late Model into battle. With a heat race victory placing him on the pole for the feature, Mitchell cruised to his third win of the season ahead of Garrett Gibson, Jamie Burford, Clayton Stuckey, and Alan Brown. On Saturday evening at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned program, Jon took part in his time trial session but failed to make the call for his heat race. Rallying from the 21st-starting position in the feature, Mitchell notched an eighth-place finish.
