Top-10 finish with CCSDS at Rocket Raceway Park
Jon Mitchell returned with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) on Friday night with a visit to 67 Speedway of Texarkana (Texarkana, Ark.) to compete in the track’s season opener.
After starting the night off with the second-fastest qualifying lap in his group and a heat win, Mitchell faded in the 40-lap feature to finish 13th.
In a field 28 CCSDS entries on Saturday at Rocket Raceway Park (Petty, Texas), Jon secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 10-lap heat race victory. Losing seven spots in the 40-lap affair, Mitchell crossed the line in ninth.
