Chad began racing go karts in 2001 at Laurel Speedway in Mississippi. He got his first win in 2002, when he was awarded Rookie of the Year. At the same track he was awarded Rookie Gold Champion in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, he was Stateline Speedway Medium and Light Stock Go Kart Champion.
In 2006, he began racing Legend Cars at Texas Motor Speedway. He had 4 wins and place 3rd in Points for the Summer Stampede. In 2007, he was Spring Nationals Semi-Pro Champion at Texas Motor Speedway.
In 2008, Chad took time off to attend Universal Technical Institute in Houston where he graduated with honors in 2009. That same year he got into racing Southern Sport Mods and was Rookie of the Year at Lady Luck Speedway in Lubbock, Texas.
In 2010, Chad was the Mid-Season Points Champion and placed 2nd in points at Lady Luck. He also placed 3rd in Points at Abilene Speedway, 9th in the Nation and 5th in
the state. He finished the 2010 season with 24 top fives, 33 top tens, and 2 wins!!
In 2011, Chad had 4 wins and won at The Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway. He finished 2nd in points at Lady Luck in Lubbock and 9th in the Nation.
In 2012, Chad had 5 wins and 4- 2nd place finishes. He won at The Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway and finished 11th in the Nation.
In 2013, Chad won at The Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway, had 11 Wins, 2nd in points at Abilene, 3rd in points at Lubbock, 5th in the Lone Star Series, and 5th in the Nation and was the Southern Challenge winner in Abilene.
In 2014, Chad had 13 Wins, 12- 2nd places and 5-3rd place finishes. He won the Track Championship at Abilene Speedway and Boyd Raceway as well as The IMCA Southern Sportmod National Championship. He finished the season 2nd in the State of Texas. After clenching the National Title, Chad married his wife, Taylor, in December.
