Ted records Top-5 finish at WVMS; Dustin clinches Iron-Man Northern Series title

With Mother Nature shifting the event back a day, Dustin and Ted Nobbe visited West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) on Saturday afternoon for the two-day Racefest World Championship. Drawing 24 Valvoline Iron-Man Northern Series entries, Dustin secured his spot into the opening night feature with a third-place finish in his heat while Ted finished fourth. With $5,000 on the line, Ted slid ahead of Dustin in the waning laps of the 25-lapper to secure a fourth-place finish. He followed Devin Moran, Max Blair, and Ryan Montgomery to the checkers with Dustin coming in fifth.

For the finale on Saturday, both Dustin and Ted secured their spot into the $15,000-to-win finale with fifth-place finishers in their heats. After running as high as fifth, Dustin settled with an eighth-place finish in feature. Ted notched a 10th-place finish in the 35-lap affair.

With his finishes over the weekend, Dustin secured the Valvoline Iron-Man Northern Series points title. Ted is currenty in second in the latest standings.
