With preliminary results placing him on the sixth row for the $4,900-to-win A-Main, Matt made a late charge in the 35-lapper to register a fourth-place finish. He followed Gregg Satterlee, Dillan Stake, and Jeff Rine to the checkers with Jason Covert coming in fifth.
Back in action on Monday, Cosner trekked to Beckley Motor Speedway (Beckley, W.Va.) with Eddie Carrier Jr. joining him in his secondary ride for the USA 100. Drawing 36 XR Southern All Star Series entries, Eddie secured his spot into the main event with a heat race win while Matt was forced to take a provisional. With $20,000 on the line, Carrier Jr. posted a seventh-place finish in the 100-lapper while Cosner retired on lap 16.
