Driver Information

My name is Joseph Harper, but everyone calls me Joey. I am married to my wife, Sarah, and we have three children. They are Charlie, Brooklynn, and Harley. They enjoy helping me work on the car, and spend time at the track. The love of this sport is growing in my children, and they aspire to drive one day as well. This is how I came to love the sport. I am a second generation driver. My father, Wayne Harper, raced and won points championship at Central Missouri Speedway, Warrensburg Mo, where I race often. My father is now retired from racing, but plays a huge role in preparing for races and pitting for my car off of the racetrack. My brother, Gale Harper, also races a pure stock, as well as my younger brother Landon Harper races GoKarts. Racing to our family is more than a hobby, it is a way of life. Racing connects us, bonds us, and builds us into a strong team. With my family’s support, I am able to do what I love, race.

I am a painter. I began painting in High School, completing VoTech and becoming certified in this trade. I immediately began working for Diamond International, where I prepped and learned the trade of body work to an even greater precision. After three years in this position, I explored further opportunity, to become a full time painter. I was offered a position to paint, at Midway Ford USA Body Shop. I have worked for this company for 10 years.

Racing has been instilled in me since childhood, but the opportunity to race did not become a reality until much later. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to build a career, while also providing stability to my family, before I began racing. I am now able to put the time and resources into a competitive racing career. The added support, body shop experience, and instilled passion have made me a great driver. These avenues of my life have showed me how to persevere. I have raced for a few years. I now know what I need to do to achieve more feature wins
