Practice wasn't going bad for us but we weren't the fastest truck. I knew there was speed left to be found but we felt a lot of it had to do with arrow. So believe it or not, we duct taped every crack in that truck trying to find every little bit we could. After I came in after my qualifying lap, I told my dad that there was a lot left in the truck and I didn't realize it until afterwards. My dad looked at me and didn't say anything. The gentleman that was lending us a hand that day, Tommy McCardle, didn't let me look at the results until the fasts trucks in practice went out. I couldn't believe it! I was the only truck in the 30 second bracket. Due to the invert I had to start all the way back in 9th. As the laps went on, I was held up for a few laps and that let the top 3 pull away to about a half a straight away lead or more. As the laps wound down, I was slowly but surely reeling them in. Still under green I made a 3 wide pass for the lead down the front stretch but couldn't get by
