Tankersley Looking to Turn Luck Around at Battleground This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – HIGHLANDS, Texas (July 11, 2017) – Channin Tankersley is seeking redemption at his home track this Saturday.

Tankersley and Old School Racing will compete at Battleground Speedway, which is only a short two-minute drive from the team’s shop.

“The last time we were there we had a horrible outing,” he said. “We’ve been super fast at times and we’ve also struggled a bit. We keep working on it and are heading in the right direction. We just have to get some stability down between me and the car.”

Tankersley has two DNFs in two races at the bullring this season. However, his experience throughout the last few seasons has been positive. He has earned multiple podiums during each of the last four seasons at Battleground Speedway.

Tankersley won a race and finished second in his other start at the track last season. He netted finishes of second and third in 2015 and was victorious and earned a runner-up result in both 2014 and 2013.

He also produced a third-place result at the track in 2012.

“We have a decent amount of laps there and we know we can win and run well there so hopefully we can put ourselves in a good position this Saturday,” he said. “It’s always great to run well at your home track.”
