Lindsey Scores WWS Win Number Four At Madras

Madras, Oregon- The Wingless Sprint Series would head to Madras Speedway on Saturday, August 20th. It would mark the third occasion that the series has visited the central Oregon ¼-mile oval. A total of eleven cars were in attendance for the evening’s action.
Lindsay Barney would seize the initiative at the drop of the first green flag. The Eagle Creek teenager would pace the field impressively for much of the race. Rob Lindsey would get around Barney on lap sixteen. Lindsey, of Newberg, would retain the position the rest of the way to collect his third win of the current campaign and his second win at Madras.
Bend’s Ryan Arnold would make a daring last lap pass to overtake Lindsay Barney for second. Cooper Desbiens, of Sutherlin, was fourth followed by fifth finishing Salem chauffeur Tim Alberding.
Heat race winners earlier in the night were Lindsay Barney and Tim Alberding. Rob Lindsey was victorious in the trophy dash.
The Wingless Sprint Series returns to racing on September 3rd. The event takes them back to Madras Speedway before the whole entire season wraps up on September 10th at Sunset Speedway Park. For more information, stay tuned at wingless.nwextremeseries.com.
