Lebanon, Oregon- The Wingless Sprint Series would pay their final visit to Willamette Speedway on Saturday, August 12th. It was the second occasion the the WSS has inhabited the historic 1/3-mile clay oval. Seventeen cars would be on hand representing the states of Oregon and Washington.

Despite having to start deep in the field Lance Hallmark cut his way to the front. When the initial green flag dropped the McMinnville native got on the throttle in thirteenth. When the checkered flag waved Lance would be the one leading the field to the finish. It is Hallmark's second win of the campaign with both wins coming at Willamette.

Lindsay Barney, of Eagle Creek, was second followed by Albany's Bricen James, in third, racing for car owner Tim Galloway. The rest of top five would consist of Jake Gilman, from Forest Grove, in fourth and fifth finishing Tim Alberding, now living in Salem.

Sherwood chauffeur Rob Lindsey set quick time in qualifying while Kyler Barraza was the winner of the trophy dash. Heat race victors were Barraza and Bricen James.

The Wingless Sprint Series head to Madras Speedway on August 19th for their final visit of 2017. It is also the last race of the Lynch Pro-Formance Parts Wingless Mini Series.
