Rob Lindsey Scores August 19th Victory At Madras

Madras, Oregon- The Wingless Sprint Series would make their final appearance of 2017 at Madras Speedway on Saturday, August 19th. It would be the third and final round of the Lynch Pro-Formance Parts Wingless Mini-Series as well. Eight teams would travel from throughout the state of Oregon to the 1/4-mile oval.
After being shut out of victory lane for much of the season Rob Lindsey would get the job done. It would mark the second triumph of the season for the Sherwood chauffeur. It also is the fifth career win with the WSS and makes him the most winningest pilot on the tour.
Bend native Ryan Arnold was second over third finishing Lindsay Barney, from Eagle Creek. The rest of the top five would consist of Moro's Guy Weedman, in fourth, and Tim Alberding, out of Salem, in fifth. Heat races were won by Gary Lynch, from Bend, and Barney. Once all the points were tallied Rob Lindsey would be crowned the champion of the Lynch Pro-Formance Parts Wingless Mini-Series.
The Wingless Sprint Series will take the rest of the month off before returning to racing on Saturday, September 2nd at Coos Bay Speedway. The Wingless Sprint Series head to Madras Speedway on August 19th for their final visit of 2017. It is also the last race of the Lynch Pro-Formance Parts Wingless Mini Series.
