NOW600 Series Opens 2016 Campaign at Superbowl Speedway Next Week
Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Feb. 12, 2016) – A unique change marks the fourth season for the National Open Wheel 600 Series, which kicks off the 2016 season next week.
Series Founder Terry Mattox has established the NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass, which will encompass each of the series events throughout Oklahoma and Northern Texas. Additionally, there will be two regions – the Inside Line Promotions NOW600 North Texas Region presented by FFE Motorsports and the NOW600 Sooner Region.
“All NOW600 races are national events with regional points being determined by which state the event is in,” Mattox said. “The NOW600 Series has continually developed throughout its first three years and this was the next logical step in the growth process. We’re very excited to get the 2016 season underway.”
Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, hosts the season-opening event, which will include all three premier classes – Stock Non-Wing, Winged ‘A’ Class and Restricted ‘A’ Class – next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 19-20.
Both nights will feature a complete show for all classes with the top-four finishers in each division on Friday night locking into Saturday’s main events. If there are fewer than 15 cars in any class there will be no lock-ins.
Also of note, the NOW600 draw will open one hour before the drivers meeting and will close at the start of the drivers meeting each night. If a competitor is running late he or she may call 918-417-0624 and an official will sign in for them.
Front gates open at 5 p.m. with the drivers meeting scheduled for 7 p.m., hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. on Feb. 19. Everything is two hours earlier on Feb. 20.
The cost is $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 7 to 11 on Feb. 19 and $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 7 to 11 on Feb. 20. Pit passes are $30 per person both nights.
