Inside Line Promotions – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (Oct. 25, 2017) – The Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass took another large step forward in 2017.

The national tour ventured to eight different tracks in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas for a total of 20 races, which is the most ever in a season, despite enduring eight rainouts. A total of 154 drivers competed in Stock Non-Wing, 151 in Winged ‘A’ Class and 67 in Restricted ‘A’ Class competition at least once during the banner season, which was a season high in each division.

“It’s grown tremendously,” NOW600 Founder Terry Mattox said. “Teaming up with USAC this year and with us doing the North Texas Region has helped boost car counts. We’re building this step by step and are working on some big things for 2018 to continue building momentum from this year.”

Frank Flud, who is the winningest driver in series history, captured his first career Stock Non-Wing and Winged ‘A’ Class titles this year thanks to 11 feature victories in both divisions.

Flud was the only multiple race winner in the Stock Non-Wing class, which also welcomed Holley Hollan, Jacob Lucas, Trey Marcham, Jason McDougal, Jeffrey Newell and Steven Shebester to the Inside Line Promotions Victory Lane.

Hollan and Newell each posted two triumphs in the Winged ‘A’ Class competition while Chase Brewer, Colton Corbin, Dustin Davidson, Hank Davis and McDougal were also victorious.

Daison Pursley capitalized on six feature wins to earn his second straight Restricted ‘A’ Class championship.

Ryder Laplante led the division with eight victories. Kale Drake joined Pursley and Laplante as multiple race winners with his three triumphs. Noah Gass, Grady Mercer, Chase Randall, Caleb Rouser and Ryan Timms also picked up a win.

“I want to thank all of the teams for competing with us this season and I want to congratulate our champions and race winners,” Mattox said. “While Frank Flud and Ryder Laplante set a record for most wins by a driver in a season in the premier classes, we had 19 different winners across the three divisions of the series.”

Additionally, Laplante won the Restricted ‘A’ Class championship and Corbin claimed the Winged ‘A’ Class title with the Driven Midwest North Texas Region and Kris Carroll was named the NOW600 Sportsman champion after winning all six races.

Mattox added that he is excited to announce the series will have a $15,000 points fund spread across its three premier classes next year.

“Thank you to Driven Midwest, MyRacePass and all of the marketing partners who were part of our team this year,” Mattox said. “We’re excited to continue to move forward with our great partners and teams as well as the tracks and fans who support the Driven Midwest USAC NOW600 National Micro Series.”

Stay tuned to the social media accounts for the series throughout the offseason for news about the 2018 season, which is slated to begin Feb. 16-17 at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
