Labor Day Triple Header On Deck for Lucas Oil NOW600
DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (August 30, 2021) - Three nights of action is on tap for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi Plains Building Division over this Labor Day weekend.
Things get underway on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3-4 as the National Micros invade the Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the 22nd Annual Pete Frazier Memorial presented by Western Flyer Xpress.
Added money and a lot of contingencies are on the line as the Lucas Oil NOW600 National competitors head into the 1/8 mile high banked bullring.
Jeffrey Newell, Ryan Timms and Caden McCreary were victorious during the 2020 edition of the Pete Frazier Memorial.
Action both days gets underway at 8pm with Hot Laps slated for 7pm.
On Sunday, Sept. 5 the traveling titans will take on the Nevada Speedway in Nevada, Missouri for the lone visit to the Show-Me State in 2021.
In the last outing for the National Series, Jade Avedisian topped both Restricted and Winged A-Class feature event wins while Timothy Watson II scored his first Stock Non-Wing victory.
Racing will get underway at 7:30pm on Sunday with Hot Laps set for 7pm.
Chelby Hinton currently sits on top of the Stock Non-Wing National Championship standings holding a 42 point lead over Colby Sokol. Gavin Miller is third 254 points back with Blayne Buntin sitting in fourth while leading the Rookie of the Year standings. Trey Zorn currently rounds out the top five.
Noah Key is on top of the Winged A-Class standings with a 22 point lead over Corbin Rueschenberg. Colby Sokol holds down third sitting 57 points back with Garrett Benson fourth and Trey Zorn in fifth.
In Restricted 'A' Class competition, Garrett Benson leads Corbin Rueschenberg by 51 points heading into the three day weekend. Justis Sokol is sitting third 65 points back with Talin Turner in fourth 66 points back. Jett Nunley rounds out the top five 96 behind the leader.
