Sokol and Spicola Strike First with NOW600 Mile High at El Paso County Raceway!

CALHAN, Colo. (April 9, 2023) - Colby Sokol and Enzo Spicola struck first in 2023 by picking up feature event wins on Saturday with the NOW600 Hi Plains Building Division Mile High Region at El Paso County Raceway.

A field of 21 Winged A-Class and 11 Restricted Micros were on hand to begin the season during the Colorado Winged Showdown.

Rolling from sixth at the drop of the green flag, Colby Sokol made his way to the front to pick up the feature event win. Justis Sokol crossed in the second spot with Chase Spicola rounding out the podium. Cole Esgar was fourth with Jadyn Friesen making up the top five.

Hunter Rhoades finished sixth with Cory Kelley crossing in seventh. Eighth went to Nic Helwig. Austin Ullstrom and Ed Libonati rounded out the top ten.

Sokol, Esgar and Kelley each won the nights three heat races.

Enzo Spicola got it done in Restricted competition. Ethan Larsen was scored in second with Skyler Keeney finishing third. Ricky Holbrook was fourth with Keegan Gasseling the top five.

Sixth went to Shyla Ernst. Brayden Hedges was seventh with Justis Sokol finishing in eighth. Landon Gasseling and Anna Keith rounded out the top ten.

Sokol and Spicola each won the nights two heats.

The NOW600 Mile High Region returns to action on May 6 at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, CO.
