Sokol Doubles Up and Ernst Earn NOW600 Mile High Opener Wins at El Paso County Raceway!

CALHAN, Colo. (April 13, 2024) - Colby Sokol and Shyla Ernst earned NOW600 Mile High Region opening night wins at El Paso County Raceway on Saturday night.

A field of 23 NOW600 A-Class Micros, 16 NOW600 Outlaw Micros and 6 NOW600 Restricted Micros were on hand for the first race of the season.

Rolling from the third starting spot in the 25-lap feature, Colby Sokol claimed the win with Ryder McCutcheon finishing in the second spot. Justis Sokol was scored in the third spot with Christian Galicia in fourth and Chance Ullstrom the top five.

Shyla Ernst, Justis Sokol, and Christian Galicia were victorious in heat race competition.

Colby Sokol doubled up on wins with his feature victory in Outlaw. Justis Sokol crossed in the second spot with Cory Kelly advancing five spots to finish third. Ryder McCutcheon was fourth and Austin Ullstrom the top five.

Colby Sokol was also the quick qualifier.

Shyla Ernst picked up the feature event win in the Restricted class. Skyler Keeney crossed the runner up spot. Silas Cleaveland finished on the final podium spot. Justin Ernst was fourth with Memarie Ashcraft the top five.

Shyla Ernst picked up the lone heat race win.

The NOW600 Mile High Region returns to action on Saturday, April 20 at Lincoln County Raceway in North Platte, NE.
