Jake McLain Scores TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Triumph at Carolina Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – GASTONIA, N.C. (June 24, 2019) – Jake McLain became the third different feature winner in as many races this season for the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour, which featured its biggest car count of the season last Friday at Carolina Speedway.
Nearly two dozen drivers took part in the RaceSaver 305ci winged sprint car series event with McLain edging Lance Moss by one eighth of a second at the finish line.
Moss was light at the scales, moving Nick Tucker up to the runner-up position. Jake Karklin rounded out the podium with Brandon McLain fourth and John Karklin fifth.
Moss, Brandon McLain and Steve Surniak were the heat race winners.
Mike Jackson was the winner of a 55-gallon drum of VP M1 methanol from VP Fuels of Taylorsville and Mike Sellers was the winner of the TriboDyn Lubricants sponsorship drawing.
Saturday’s weekend finale at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., rained out. Series and track officials are looking for a makeup date later this season.
The next TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour event is July 6 at Lake View Motor Speedway in Nichols, S.C.
