John Karklin Wins TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Show at Lake View Motor Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – NICHOLS, S.C. (July 7, 2019) – John Karklin captured his first feature win in more than a decade on Saturday during a TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour event at Lake View Motor Speedway.

Karklin, who recently came out of a retirement that lasted approximately a decade, led all 25 laps of the feature on a great surface to score the victory. The win also cut his deficit in the RaceSaver 305ci winged sprint car series championship standings to only four points.

Karklin was dominant throughout the night, charging from seventh to second place in a heat race. That earned the most points of any driver during any series race this year, giving him the A Main pole position and a $100 bonus from the track.

Karklin had to outlast the competition on several cautions, but in the end he crossed the finish line first. Brandon McLain recorded a runner-up result with points leader Jake Karklin rounding out the podium. Both John and Jake Karklin are the only drivers to earn a top-five result during every series race this year.

Steve Surniak placed fourth and Daniel Oliver was fifth.

Sean Vardell and McLain were the heat race winners.

Mike Jackson won the Long Haul Award, which gave him a fuel card courtesy of JLM Logistics.

The TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour returns to action on July 27 at 311 Speedway in Pine Hall, N.C.
