Yakima, Washington- Although it has never hosted a Western Sprint Tour event yet the Central Washington State Fair Raceway has been accustomed to Sprint Cars in late September on the big 3/8-mile clay oval. Ever since 2000, with the only exception being in 2001, these fire breathing monsters have inhabited the Yakima oval on the opening weekend of the Central Washington State Fair. The name of the sanctioning bodies may have changed but there has always been great racing to be witnessed with incredible speeds reached by the best drivers in the Pacific Northwest. The name of this event is being called the Dirt Fall Classic.

From 2000-06 the Northern Sprint Tour ended their year in Yakima and the same case for the one and only season of the NSCS in 2007. From 2008-14 the ASCS-Northwest Region would wrap things up in late September. 2015 will have the WST end their inaugural season come to a close and will be the only time the new series visits the state of Washington. It is also the largest track the tour will venture to this year.

Roger Crockett has accumulated the most wins at Yakima on this weekend over the years with seven total while Jason Solwold has gotten six. Rick Fauver, Jayme Barnes, and Shane Stewart each have two while Scott Aumen, Rick Smith, Shawna Wilskey, Jimmy Trulli, Brock Lemley, Stephan Allard, Jared Peterson, Steve Vague, and Logan Forler have visited victory lane once.

Trey Starks enters the weekend as the point leader and will look to capture his first ever championship in his young career. Starks won the first race of the season back in April at Cottage Grove and would love to tack on a few more before accepting his crown. But a healthy car count of some very talented pilots are after the prize money too.

Racing each night is scheduled to begin around 6:00 PM and Pit Passes are $35.00. Reserve seating will be sold to folks wanting specific seats for $18.00 each. To order reserve seating please visithttp://www.statefairpark.org/p/central-wa-state-fair/entertainment-and-attractions/coca-cola-grandstand/482.

The Western Sprint Tour is the Pacific Northwest region's most premier touring 360 Sprint car series. Visiting some of the nation's best facilities it is a series that offers some of the best racing you can find anywhere around.
