Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Five Different Winners in Nine Events, Pearson Top of Tight Series Point Standings

WAYCROSS, GA (March 4, 2015) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has completed nine (9) sanctioned events so far in 2015, with five (5) different drivers visiting victory lane to date. The series has seen some intense and fierce battles with competition at an all-time high with fifty-four (54) different drivers competing at least once with the series. The 2015 season got started at Golden Isles Speedway, which had a jam-packed house every night, at the Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing. Eddie Carrier Jr of Salt Rock, WV, Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Jonathan Davenport from Blairsville, GA each picked up feature wins at Golden Isles Speedway.

The series then traveled to Tampa, FL for the 39th Annual East Bay Winternationals and competed six straight nights at the famed "Clay by the Bay" at East Bay Raceway Park. Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, IL, Josh Richards of Shinnston, WV, and Eddie Carrier Jr. of Salt Rock, WV picked up one win each during the week, while Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR collected three wins. Moyer's three wins at this year's East Bay Winternationals increased his total wins to 26 for his career at the famed "Clay by the Bay" East Bay Raceway Park.

Earl Pearson Jr, who has returned to driving the Dunn-Benson Motorsports car #1 in 2015, leads the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship point standings heading into the next series event, on March 20th in Chillicothe, OH. Pearson holds a slim five (5) point lead over Jonathan Davenport who drives the K&L Rumley Enterprises #6. Jared Landers, Jimmy Owens and Eddie Carrier Jr. round out the top five in the series championship point standings. Sixth through tenth in the point standings include: 2014 series champion Don O'Neal, Brandon Sheppard, Stormy Scott, Devin Moran and Steve Francis.

"We're thrilled to get off to a great start this year. To already have a win and lead the point standings with this new team that Carlton and Kemp Lamm have put together is amazing. I have to thank Lucas Oil, Black Diamond Chassis, Andy Durham Race Engines and all my sponsors for their support in 2015. I'm really excited about driving for the Lamm's again. The whole organization is a great company to work for. I'm pumped up and ready to get some more wins and hopefully win another championship for Dunn-Benson Motorsports and all our sponsors", stated Earl Pearson Jr.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to action with a double header weekend on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st. The series will travel to Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, OH on that Friday for a complete show with $10,000 up for grabs to the winner. Then, on Saturday, the series returns to the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN for the "18th Annual Indiana Icebreaker". The 50-lap feature event will pay $10,000 to the winner of the "Icebreaker". For tickets and more information about these events log on to: www.atomicspeedway.net and www.brownstownspeedway.com.
