Big River Steel Renews Partnership with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Batavia, OH (October 1, 2021) – Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials are pleased to announce that Big River Steel, a U. S. Steel company, has renewed their multi-year agreement to be an Official Partner of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series again in 2022 and 2023.

Big River Steel, a U. S. Steel company now, has been an Official Partner with the series the past two years and associated with several key programs within the series. Under this new agreement, Big River Steel with corporate offices for U. S. Steel located in Pittsburgh, PA, has agreed to be the presenting sponsor of the newly added Firecracker 100 event at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA in 2022. The 2022 Firecracker 100 presented by Big River Steel, will be another crown jewel event on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule that will pay $50,000 to win.

“With increased television coverage on MAVTV Motorsports Network and the live streaming coverage on MAVTVPlus.com, the series schedule will be loaded with numerous big paying crown jewel events that will make the 2022 season the biggest in the history of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Big River Steel’s partnership along with all our great partners are vital to the continued growth of the premier national touring series in the country,” stated Dan Robinson, Vice President of Lucas Oil Motorsports.

We are thrilled to GO BIG in our continued partnership with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, our new involvement with Lernerville Speedway and our work as part of the collective team to improve grassroots racing for its passionate fans,” said Scott Coleman, manager of coated products at Big River Steel.

The Big River Steel partnership will continue to include sponsoring the Big River Steel Podium Award, recognizing the top three finishers at each event and recognizing the driver that earns the most Big River Steel Podium finishes at the year-end awards banquet. Big River Steel will also support a driver that follows the series full time in 2022 that will include employee interaction and participation at various events.
