Series Information

The Southeast Super Truck Series (SEST) was created during the winter months of 2011 as founder Jeff Myers was looking to create a cost effective way for short track racers to compete. Myers created the SouthEast Super Truck Series to battle the downtime in the economy, where racers are having to look for every way to save money, but still be able to do what they love.

The rules have been set to where not only new Late Model Super Trucks can compete, but so that older trucks and different engine combinations will be very competitive. The schedule has every event within an hour to an hour and a half of each other with races in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. It’s geared to be the most affordable avenue for someone who owns or races a Late Model Super Truck to go racing.

The Southeast Super Truck Series made their debut at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC on March 25, 2012, and completed a 10 race schedule in 2012 at some of the best venues in the region.

In 2012, the SEST Series had 7 different winners in 10 races for the season and had a total of 31 entries for the year.

The Southeast Super Trucks sophomore season also consisted of 10 races, but the race laps were increased to 75 lap features at the same tracks as the 2012 season. The Series sophomore season consisted of 37 Driver entries with an average of 17 trucks per event We had 5 different winners out of the 10 races.

The Southeast Super Trucks third year increased to a 12 race season with 75 laps of exciting and fierce racing. The competition for both Rookie of the Year and the Points Championship came down to the last race of the season. We had an average of 18 trucks per event with 6 different feature winners out of the 12 races. With our third season of competition, our driver roster increased to 44 highly talented drivers with ages ranging from 13 to 72 years of age.

The series continues to grow with five season now complete. The 2017 season seen a slight change, as we created a chase system. After 8 races the top nine drivers were locked into a two race shootout. After the last two races the top four battled it out for the final two races of the year.

As we head into Season 6 in 2018, the series will remain with a 12 race schedule, however, several new tracks will be added to the schedule.

Given the large number of talented racers and teams that compete in the series, the Southeast Super Truck Series has established itself as an excellent development series for drivers working their way up the ladder.
