Kyle Beard passes 17 cars in King of the Hill 40 at Thunderhill

Saturday night saw Kyle Beard return to action at Clayhill Speedway (Atwood, Tenn.) for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned King of the Hill 40. After his second fastest time in his qualifying group locked him into the third-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main, Beard was forced to pull his Crate Late Model out for the feature due to transmission issues. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Kyle marched through the field 17 spots to finish sixth.
