Mazzagatti, Delfosse win on Father's Day Weekend

For the fourth weekend in a row, Norton Raceway Park was able to see some action-packed racing. Our intense battles in the Late Model and CRS Trucks divisions kept the fans engaged with an exciting night of motorsports. We want to thank all the fans and sponsors for making the Father’s Day races special!

Here are the race recaps for all our feature races this past weekend:

Bandoleros: Chloe Mazzagatti 4 for 4

The #87 Bandolero of Chloe Mazzagatti was able to show off her veteran presence in the Bandolero class, having swept the series so far in heat and feature wins. She was able to take the lead in the feature race and led every lap, capitalizing on her weekend sweep.

Trophy Stock: Shawn Kaufman Two in a Row

The #17 Trophy Stock driven by Shawn Kaufman was able to get parked back in Victory Lane for the second time this season. Shawn was able to work his way from the back of the field, and finished in first place after a strong run. He displayed the speed his #17 machine had, taking the lead and never looking back.

Legends: Finley’s Third Win

Evan Finley was able to secure his third win of the season in the Legends division, taking the lead in the race as well as the championship standings. After working his way through the field, he sped off with the #48 of Bradley Weber on his tail. Finley’s pace had him work through lap traffic, en route to his third win of the season.

Street Stocks: Collmar’s Back-to-Back

Cody Collmar was the class of the group during the night, winning both the heat and feature after working his way through the field. Once the #32 street stock got out to the front of the field, it was smooth sailing for Collmar, securing his second victory of the season.

CRS Trucks: Delfosse secures Inagural Win

The debut of the CRS Truck Series at Norton Raceway Park was an exciting one. With sparks flying at the beginning of the race, it made for an exciting show. The #04 of Bailey Delfosse was able to take the lead at the beginning of the race, and after some intense green flag racing including a late race restart, he was able to hold on for the series’ first win at NRP. We want to thank the CRS Series for being involved and look forward to seeing them later in the year!

Late Models: Mazzagatti Back in VL

The late model feature was able to show the strongest battle of the night, with sparks flying and tight racing. After a couple laps of close contact and hard racing, the #87 of Mike Mazzagatti was able to take the leader. With the hard charging drivers such as the #43 of Roger Smith and the #59 of Gary Whipkey, Mazzagatti had to hold on to the first place position, battling with the two until the checkered flag fell. Although the race was down to the wire, Mazzagatti was able to park his late model in Victory Lane for the second time this season.

Compacts: Custer Wins Two Straight

The compact race was able to see a lot of action-packed racing throughout the entire field since the green flag dropped. Last week’s winner, Will Custer was able to demonstrate his speed once again, working his way through the field and securing his spot in Victory Lane for the second time this season.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Veteran’s Night for some exciting racing!
Our classes for the upcoming week will be: Bandoleros, Legends, Trophy Stocks, Street Stocks, ACE Racing League, Modifieds, and Compacts.
