Perricone All Star Sprint Weekend
Saturday was a long time wait for the Arctic Cat All Star Sprint Cars return to Brownstown Speedway. Home territory for the Late Models. It took no time for Dale Blaney to shatter the track record. The track was fast and Jim and the team had a miss in the motor early that resulted in a poor time trial and put the team in the back of the heat race. Jim started 9th and finished in the same spot. The track was hammer down and were you started is where you finished. The team worked to get the motor right and started 10th in the B Main. Jim was able to pick off a couple cars and then the Mackison brothers from Pennsylvania were racing for position and spun each other out. Jim had no place to go, with some luck the cars parted just enough for the J&J Auto Racing 10P to slip right in between them. Jim was now sitting 7th with Cory Crabtree ahead of him for the last transfer spot. Jim got into a racing duel with both the Mackison brothers who restarted and would eventually finish 8th.
