Harli White Captures Podium Finish With ASCS National Tour At Canyon Speedway Park

Bryan Hulbert – PEORIA, Ariz. (March 2, 2020) Her best start to a season with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Oklahoma’s Harli White posted a sixth-place finish this past Friday night before betting it a podium run the following night at Canyon Speedway Park.

“It was a heck of a weekend and I’m really excited to see what happens this weekend in California with such a good finish,” commented Harli. “I drew decent and that put is in position in a good spot for the Qualifiers and really, except for the A-Feature on Saturday, we went forward every time we hit the track.”

Making it to a Qualifier on Friday night, White was able to capture a win that locked her into the seventh starting spot in the A-Feature. Moving into the top five for nearly half the race, White slipped to sixth on Lap 18 to hold on until the checkered flag.

Going fifth to first in her Heat Race, a fun from fourth to second earned White the pole in Saturday’s A-Feature. Leading the first lap, White fell to second the following trip around. Slipping to third on Lap 6, White held off several challenges for the position throughout the rest of the race. The finish is the second-best in Harli's career with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

“Overall, the car would stick anywhere I needed it to go so it was just a matter of me not making mistakes, and the run was really good because some great supports of mine made a surprise trip to watch me, so a big thanks to Steve and Stephanie for coming down and for helping us live this dream.”

Venturing into California this weekend, White will see action at Merced Speedway on Friday, March 6, followed by Placerville Speedway on Saturday, March 7, and finally Petaluma Speedway on Sunday, March 8.

The 2020 season marks the 13th year of racing for Harli White. Racing full time with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Harli will also mix in several events throughout the country when not on the road.
