This Saturday at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS), Midwest Coatings, Inc. presents another week of Championship Weekly Racing, featuring B-Mods, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods, and Pure Stocks. The track will also host a food and clothing drive and donations of canned and boxed food as well as new and gently used clothing, which will be donated to the shelter in Warrensburg for those less fortunate.

Just four weeks remain in the weekly championship points season, including racing this Saturday the 10th, along with action on the 17th, 24th, and 31st counting towards the overall totals. Heading into this weekend’s program, here is a look at the standings in each division.

For B-Mods, the veterans lead the way with Basehor, Kansas, driver Tim Karrick leading Odessa driver Stephen Clancy by 71 points. Terry Schultz sits just one point behind Clancy to remain in the hunt. Super Stock drivers will continue their close battle on Saturday with Dave Meyer of Concordia leading the way over Osawatomie, Kansas driver James Nighswonger, by just 13 points. Aaron Poe, Devin Irvin, and Blaine Ewing all remain within striking distance as the season winds down.

For Pure Stocks, Bobby Russell of Smithville holds a commanding lead over Warsaw’s David Doelz with Mallory Stiffler of Hoyt, Kansas a distant third. For Midwest Mods, Henley, Missouri driver and nine-time feature winner Logan Roark sits atop the standings by 96 markers ahead of David Wood of Richmond and Independence driver Dustin Dennison.

Admissions information for Saturday: Adult General Admission $15, Active-Duty Military, Senior Citizens ages 65 to 74, and Students with Student I.D. $12. Kids ages 6 to 12 years $6, Children ages 5 and under and Senior Citizens aged 75 years and older are free in the grandstands. Those permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. ALL pit passes regardless of age or status are $35.

The timeline for Saturday is as follows: The Pit Gate opens at 4:30, Admission Gates at 5. The cutoff for drivers to check-in for racing is 6:15 (late check-ins will not earn passing points). The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, followed by practice “hot” laps at 7, with racing to follow at approximately 7:30.
