Gray grabs 604 win at Clarksville Speedway
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 10) – A last-minute decision to head to Clarksville Speedway – and then another last-minute decision to compete in the 604 Crate Late Model division – netted a win for Jim Gray and the Jimmy Gray Motorsports team on Saturday. After more than three weeks off due to work and family commitments, the team was happy to be back at the track where they used the time primarily as a test session to evaluate a handful of changes made since last competing at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn., on July 16.
Jim started from the pole and led every lap of the feature for his first victory and third top-five finish of the season. The team would like to thank Victory Fun Park in Lewisburg, Tenn., and Definite Wellness in Tullahoma, Tenn., for their season-long support.
Weather permitting, Jim has a Friday-Saturday doubleheader at Moulton (Ala.) Speedway and Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn., set for Aug. 16-17.
