Beyenhof Picks Up First DCS Late Model Feature Win
SPRING VALLEY, MN - June 1, 2013:Â (Photo Courtesy of Gulbranson Photo) Mother Nature tried to dampen the racers spirits again this weekend. A beautiful morning and slightly warm afternoon turned to overcast and cool evening temperatures. 112 cars pulled into the pit area to do battle on the speedway after overnight rains left the pit area damp and soft.
The first feature to pull onto the track to do battle was the Left Lane Transport USRA B-Modifieds. Erik Kanz, Alex Williamson set the pace for the field out of turn two. Kanz took the lead with Kylie Kath and Alan Wagner racing for third. With two down Kanz led while Dan Wheeler moved his ride into the top five. Jacob Bleess moved up to race with Wheeler for the fifth spot as a caution flew on lap seven. On the restart Kanz led while Kath pushed up in turn four starting a scramble for the third spot as Wheeler, Wagner and Bleess were three wide for the position. On the next lap Williamson pushed up allowing Wheeler and Bleess to race for second. Cole Queensland raced with Williamson for fourth. With ten complete Bleess and Wheeler pressured Kanz for the top spot as they continued to race side by side for second. ivermectin (stromectol) human Another caution flew on lap twelve and on the restart Bleess took over second behind Kanz. Bleess challenged for the lead on lap fourteen as they crossed the line side by side. Queensland moved into third and pressured Kanz for the second spot as the laps wound down. At the finish it was Bleess with the win, Kanz, Queensland, Wheeler and Williamson rounding out the top five. Kath, Brady Keefe and Shaun Walski won the heat races earlier in the night.
I have said it before but the SixTwo Graphics WISSOTA Street Stocks have put on some of the best racing each night out and tonight was another epic race. Nine different drivers had a legitimate shot of winning the race at one point or another in the feature event. Fred Prudoehl took the early led out of two while Andrew Lokenvitz, Danny Richards moved up to race for the lead on lap two. They went across the stripe three wide until Lokenvitz dropped back to third only to be challenged by Kory Adams and Shaun Mann for third. With four down Prudoehl and Richards were still side by side for the lead. Now Lokenvitz, Mann and Mike Blowers were racing for third. Richards took over the top spot on lap five as Blowers and Mann continued to battle side by side now for the second spot. Prudoehl, Danny Hanson and Adams were three wide for fifth on lap seven. On lap eight Adams, Hanson and AJ Zvorak were now three wide for fifth. Zvorak and Hanson made contact and went to the rear of the field after bringing out the caution. On the restart Richards led. Blowers and Mann continued to battle for second. Adams sat in third while Troy Voth worked into the top five. With twelve down Blowers was pressuring Richards for the lead as a heavy mist fell from the sky slickening the track enough to through another caution. After a twenty minute delay the feature returned to action. Richards led with Blowers in second. Mann and Voth battled for third. Voth took over third and started to pressure Blowers for second. Blowers put the hammer down and moved alongside of Richards for the lead on lap seventeen and took over the top spot. Voth and Mann got together as the white flew bringing out the caution with Voth dropping to the rear. On the restart Blowers took home the win with Richards, Mann, Hanson and Adams rounding out the top five. Hanson and Adams took home the heat wins earlier.
Mike Mehling led the field out of turn two on the start of the Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. Ryan Siegle moved past Mehling in three to lead lap one. An early caution bunched up the field and on the restart Jared Boumeester moved past Siegle to take over the top spot. Siegle and Mehling were side by side for second on lap four with Dustin Scott moving up to the fourth spot. Siegle regained second spot as Scott worked on moving past Mehling for the third spot. On lap six Scott moved into third and set sail for Siegle. Scott took over second on lap seven. With eleven down Greg Pfeifer Jr. and Jason Born were racing for the fifth spot on Mehlings rear bumper. Mehling and Pfeifer Jr. had a good battle going for the fourth spot as they closed up on Siegle in third. The three were racing hard as contact was made and the caution flew for Siegle. On the restart Boumeester was too strong up front and took home the win. Scott, Mehling, Pfeifer Jr., and Born rounded out the top five. Heat races were won by Scott and Josh Crary
The Wagner Trucking WISSOTA Super Stocks put on one of their best features in a while although it did have its share of Super Stock roughness. Ryan Henderson and Josh Bartel led out of turn two with Bartel taking control at the completion of lap one. Tommy Richards took over the second spot on lap two while Henderson and Kelly Anderson raced for third. Anderson took over second and then worked past Bartel on lap three to take second. Jeff Brauer moved into fourth on lap three. On lap four Brauer also moved up to race with Bartel for the third spot. The two made contact and were sent to the rear on the caution. On the restart Richards led with Anderson in second. Anderson drove in hard on lap six and spun his mount sending him to the rear after bringing out a caution. On the restart Richards moved back out front. Brian Fetting quickly moved into the second spot with Brauer working back up to third. With seven down Brauer moved under Fetting to take over the second spot. Kevin Hager and Henderson raced for fourth with Anderson now back up through the field in sixth. On lap ten Anderson and Hager raced for fourth while Brauer caught up to Richards up front. On lap twelve Andersons hard charge moved him past Fetting for the third spot as Brauer gets a nose under Richards. The next three laps they were side by side for the lead with Brauer finally getting the lead on lap seventeen. As the field prepared to take the white flag lap Richards slowed and dropped to the infield. As the checkers flew it was Brauer with the win. Anderson, Fetting, Hager and Bartel rounded out the top five. Anderson and Richards took home heat wins.
The heavy hitters were on the track next with the Altenburg Construction WISSOTA Late Models. Joe Ludemann led from the drop of the green with Justin Sass in second. Nick Beyenhof moved up from his sixth starting spot to third on the first lap with Jerry Bloom in fourth. Sass powered outside of Ludemann on lap two to take over the lead. Bloom started to pressure Beyenhof on the low side of the speedway on lap two. patel a et al. usefulness of ivermectin in covid-19 illness. ssn. 2020 Lance Matthees moved under Mike Prochnow for the fifth spot. Two laps later Prochnow moved past Ludemann for the third spot. Beyenhof looked strong out front slowly pulling away from Matthees. Nate Beyenhof, Bloom and Ludemann had a good race for the fifth spot after Kyle Jumbeck worked past them for the fourth spot. Out front Beyenhof pulled away to almost a half lap lead as the checkers flew over the field. Matthees, Prochnow, Jumbeck and Nate Beyenhof rounded out the top five. Nick Beyenhof and Sass won the heat races earlier.
The final race of the night was the NAPA AutoCare USRA Modifieds with Kelly Shryock, Tommy Myer and Brad Waits battling for the lead on lap one. Waits took control of the race early as Myer and Shryock raced for second. Nate Wasmund and Brandon Davis raced for fourth early on. Davis took fourth on lap three and then moved alongside of Shryock for the third spot. Myer closed in on Waits up front as Davis held of Shryock for third.
