AgStar Financial Services FireCracker at The Creek this Weekend
Featuring the Blaine Brothers WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series and Double USRA Modified Features
SPRING VALLEY, MN – June 27, 2013: (Photo courtesy of Buck Monson Photo) The weather is heating up and so is the action at Deer Creek Speedway. This weekend fans will be in for a special treat as the AgStar Financial Services FireCracker returns to the speedway but this year fans are guaranteed to get more BANG for their buck.
Last year’s event was one for the record books as a fist clenching three-wide battle between AJ Diemel, Lance Matthees and Eric Pember kept fans at the edge of their seats for a majority of the race. On lap 22 Jake Redetzke took the lead with the crowd on their feet but it was Diemel who proved strong at the end and took home the win.
The Blaine Brothers WISSOTA Challenge Series is back by popular demand and will headline the event on Saturday, June 29th but there is more. Fans will get to see not one USRA Modified feature event, but two! The final race of last week’s action was postponed due to rain and will be made up this Saturday night.
Also scheduled to compete are the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Super Stock, Midwest Modifieds and the USRA B-Mods.
The Truck Country Slingshots will kick off the weekend events at 2:30 in the afternoon as the little stars and their cars will also be doing double duty and will be running double features as well. Don’t forget that the afternoon events are FREE in the grandstands.
The Kids Club will be meeting at 4:30 and will be treated to some special visitors from the National Eagle Center.
Deer Creek Speedway is scheduled to start at 6:00. Adult tickets are $18, Kids 12 and under are $5. Pit passes are $25.
Deer Creek Speedway is a high-banked three-eighths-mile clay oval located 11.3 miles south of I-90 (exit 209) on SR 16, then 0.7 mile north on US 63. For more information call 507-754-6107 or visit www.deercreekspeedway.com.
