New Camping Arrangements and Admissions Change for 2022

NEW OVERNIGHT CAMPING ARRANGEMENTS AND ADMISSION FOR 2022 RACING SEASON

SDM Promotions has a special announcement concerning camping at the Delaware International Speedway. Managing partner, Mark Cathell, stated, “With the lease agreement, we do not have access to the front property, so we had to look at other options for our fans and race teams. The decision was made to utilize the car show area of the Dragway.�

This year, we will be renting camping lots for our Speedweek and Delaware State Dirt Track Championships. With the move to inside the facility, we will incur the expense of 24 hr. security of the camping area. These spots will not have electric or sewer hook-ups just as in the years past in the front property. The cost to camp will be $25 per day and campers will be issued a numbered and dated tag when entering the Speedway to be displayed on their RV, camper and or tow vehicle.

With the rising cost of insurance, materials, and other expenses around the facility, SDM Promotions have made a change in admission prices for the 2022 season. Spectator admission, Adult $20, Senior (65 & up) & Students (13-17) $15, Kids (9-12) $10 and Children 8 & under free with paying Adult. Pit admission, Adult $35 (13 & up), Kids (6-12) $10, Children 5 & Under Free. Specialty Events such as URC Sprints admission will be as follows:  Spectator Adult $25, Senior (65 & up) & Students (13-17) $15, Kids (9-12) $10 and Children 8 & under free with paying Adult. Pit admission, Adult $40 (13 & up), Kids (6-12) $10, Children 5 & Under Free.

For the 1st State Truck and Tractor Pull and Night of Destruction Demolation Derby the prices will be as follows: Adult $20, Senior & Student (65 + / 13-17) $15, Youth (9-12) $10, Children (5-8) $5, Kids 4 & under FREE. Monster Truck Show pricing has not yet been confirmed and will be updated as soon as we receive it from the promoter.

Friday night April 1st – Open Practice to All Divisions

Gates open 5 pm

Practice 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Wednesday night April 13th – "Battle of the Bay" Speedweek presented by 3C Graphix

Competitor/Pit Gate open 3 pm

Spectator Gate open 5 pm.

Tuesday night April 26th – Diamond State 50 STSS race #4 South Region.

Competitor/Pit Gate open 3 pm

Spectator Gate open 5 pm. (Wednesday night April 27th Rain date)

Thursday night April 28th – Clash of the Champions presented by JW Brown Logging & Campbells Collision

Competitor/Pit Gate opens 3 pm

Spectator Gate open 5pm.

Friday night April 29th – Season Opener Night 1: USAC Sprints, Super Late Models, AC Delco 602 Modifieds, Little Lincoln Stock Car Club and Delmarva Chargers.

Competitor/Pit Gate open 3 pm

Spectator Gate open 5 pm.

 

Saturday night April 30th – Season Opener Night 2: Rent Equip & Party Central Big Block Modifieds, Rush Late Models, Mod Lites, Vintage Stock Car Club and Super Trucks.
