Inside Line Promotions – DODGE CITY, Kan. (July 31, 2021) – It was a family affair on Friday at Dodge City Raceway Park, where the father and son duo of Jason Rogers and Bingston Rogers emerged victorious during the Stock Car & Hobby Stock Shootout sponsored by Phillips Custom Farming.

It marked the third time the feat has occurred at the track this season and for the second straight week.

Kaden Cochrun was also a feature winner during the marquee event that was a part of the kickoff to Dodge City Days.

Jason Rogers continued his winning ways in the IMCA Stock Cars division by recording his third consecutive win and sixth feature triumph of the season to extend his lead in the championship standings. This time it paid $1,200 during the special event.

Chris Oliver was the runner up with Michael Pepper finishing third. Ondre Rexford placed fourth and Dillon Reese rounded out the top five.

Oliver and Dusty Witthuhn were the heat race winners.

Bingston Rogers mounted the deepest charge to earn a victory as he powered from seventh to score the $700 top prize. It marked his third win of the season at the track and inched him closer to points leader Reagan Sellard, who finished the feature second. The duo put on a thrilling show for the win as Rogers claimed the lead for good near the midpoint of the 18-lap main event with Sellard in tow until the checkered flag was waved.

Justin Yutterman ended third with Duane Wahrman fourth and Brett Copeland fifth.

Rogers and Sellard each posted a heat race triumph.

Cochrun is $1,000 richer thanks to a first-time trip to Victory Lane during the Stars/IMCA Mod Lites main event. Dillon Raffurty was on a mission, rallying from ninth to second place. Justin Kinderknecht placed third with Clayton Hogie fourth and Ryan Ayers fifth.

Cochrun and Tracy Hill picked up heat race wins.

DODGE CITY RACEWAY PARK –

In 2000, Dodge City leaders broke ground to build a state-of-the-art facility for auto racing on the southern outskirts of town. Originally constructed as a paved surface venue, it wasn’t but a few years later the facility returned to its roots and popularity as a dirt venue. Dodge City Raceway Park, as part of the “Why NOT Dodge” initiative, brought affordable family entertainment to the city and took the title as the ‘Premier Kansas Dirt Track.’

With a seating capacity near 3,500, Dodge City Raceway Park features a multitude of motorsports entertainment events. Including five International Motor Contest Association classes, Sooner Late Models, the United Rebel Sprint Series, flat track motorcycles and a newly added grand national tractor pulling event with the National Tractor Pulling Association. DCRP rounds out its season in the fall with the ‘Steve King Memorial’ – a 3-day special event featuring sprint car and midget classes.
