The Road to the 2019 Snowflake Begins This Friday

The road to the 21st Annual Snowflake 100 begins Friday night at Five Flags Speedway with the first Allen Turner Hyundai Pro Late Model race of the season. Once again, it will consist of four races to determine an overall champion. And once again, a lot will be on the line for race teams competing in the mini-series.
In addition to obtaining useful information for December’s Snowflake 100, a pair of drivers in the top 10 in points at the end of the season will receive provisionals for the Snowflake 100. The two provisionals will be awarded to the top two drivers in points who fail to qualify during time trials for December’s race.
The Allen Turner Pro Late Model series has recently been dominated by Casey Roderick. The Lawrenceville, Georgia driver has won the last two series championships and seven of the last eight races. He returns to Pensacola looking to become the first driver to win three Allen Turner Pro Late Model championships.
While an official entry list has not been released for Friday night’s event, many other big names are expected to be at Five Flags Speedway.
South Carolina’s Colby Howard is expected to be at Five Flags next Friday. Having recently teamed up with arguably the hottest Late Model team in the country in Anthony Campi Racing, he won the Show Me the Money Series race at Montgomery Motor Speedway on April 6, beating two of Pro Late Model racing’s best in Roderick and Augie Grill in the process. ACR is also coming off a win in last December’s Snowflake 100 with Chase Purdy, as well as Rattler 250 and Blizzard Series wins with Giovanni Bromante in the last month.
Other drivers expected to be in attendance include Alabama young guns Perry Patino, JoJo Wilkinson, and Cole Daffron mixed in with veterans like Texas driver Chris Davidson, Alabama racer Ryan Paul, and many more.
Five Flags Speedway owner and promoter Tim Bryant is excited to see where Pro Late Model racing is headed. He says with the reception he’s received, he has reason to believe the 2019 running of the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 will see a high turnout rate.
“Pro racing just seems to be really healthy right now,� Bryant told Speed51.com. “The way Pro racing looks right now, I have no reason to believe that there won’t be 50-plus cars attempting to qualify for the Snowflake this year. With that being said, potentially securing one of the provisional starting spots will be of greater importance.�
Beginning with Friday’s season opener, all four Allen Turner Pro Late Model races at Five Flags will be streamed live on Speed51.com. The first three standalone races of the season will be streamed for premium subscribers on the Speed51 Network, while the finale will be offered as a pay-per-view broadcast.
