Willamette Speedway Returns To Racing On Saturday June 12th; Practice Friday The 11th
Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway will be back in action this coming weekend on Saturday, June 12th. The 1/3-mile clay oval last hosted an event on October 24th of last year for the Ice Cube Cup. Classes scheduled to be in action include Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and IMCA Sport Compacts. In addition, the facility will have a Test N’ Tune practice the night before, from 5:00 PM to Dusk, on Friday, the 11th.
Racing kicks off at 6:00 PM on Saturday. Online tickets will be available for purchase on the website very soon and will be $15.00 for Adults, Juniors (13-17)/Seniors (62+)/Military $12.00, Youth (6-12) $5.00, and Kids 5 & Under are FREE. Pit Passes are $40.00, as is the Car & Driver fee.
Willamette Speedway is now under the management of co-owner Jimmy Schram. Schram is a longtime racer at the Lebanon facility and across the Pacific Northwest in Super Late Models and IMCA Modifieds. Jimmy is a former Super Sport champion at the track, winning the title in 2007.
The rest of the 2021 schedule will be released on the website very soon. Willamette is expecting to host the Wild West Modified Shootout and the Interstate Sprint Car Series in August. Also, on July 13th, the Western Sprint Tour will come to town as a part of Speedweek Northwest.
Things have been quite busy at the race track behind the scenes, with several improvements around the complex. So be sure and stay tuned on the track website and Facebook pages for further information regarding the 2021 race season.
