Mills competes in Spring Nationals opening weekend

Trey Mills trekked to Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals doubleheader. With 22 Late Models entered, Mills secured his spot into the opening night feature with a third-place finish in his heat. With $10,053 on the line, Trey got ran over by another car that sidelined him on lap 34.

The following night at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.), Trey edged his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with the sixth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Clawing forward three spots in the 53-lap affair, Mills posted a 14th-place finish.
