Mills tops 604 Late Model field at Swainsboro
For the second-straight week Trey Mills raced to a feature win in his Southway Crane & Rigging No. 14 Mills Concrete / Integra Racing Shocks / Black Diamond Race Car Crate Late Model.
His latest visit to the Winner’s Circle came on Saturday night at Georgia’s Swainsboro Raceway.
“We were geared up to race again at Volusia (Speedway Park), but then rain got the event, so we made the last minute decision to head to Swainsboro (Raceway). Everything worked out perfect and we got another win in the 604 Late Model. We had a good car in the 602 division too, but lost water pressure and had to pull off in the feature,” Mills said. “We’re excited to head to our home track (All-Tech Raceway) this weekend for the $10,000-to-win event. I always enjoy racing there.”
With his plans at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) axed by Mother Nature, Trey Mills headed to Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) on Saturday evening to compete in both his 604 and 602 Crate Late Model.
Earning the fifth-starting position for the 604 Late Model feature via his qualifying result, Mills marched to his second win of the season.
He started the 602 Crate Late Model feature in sixth but was an early exit after losing water pressure.
Next on tap for the team is a trip to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) this weekend for the second annual Harvey Jones Memorial. The Crate Racin’ USA weekend is headlined by a $10,000-to-win finale on Saturday night.
