Track Information
Sweetwater Speedway is a 3/8 mile high-banked dirt oval located at the Sweetwater Events Complex north of Rock Springs, Wyoming. The dirt track was originally built in 1980 and is owned by the Sweetwater Events Complex (SWEC). A local non-profit group, Sweetwater Dirt Racing Alliance, leases the track and facilities from SWEC. Two day events are held once a month that bring in drivers from all over the Western United States. Primary classes are IMCA Modified, IMCA Sport Mod, and IMCA Sport Compact. There are local kids Go-Kart classes as well. The facility are brings in IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks, ASCS Sprint and Dirt Car Late Model touring series.

We have several classes racing all season including IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Northern Sport Mods, IMCA Stocks, Cruisers and Go-Karts. Special events include the Frontier Region ASCS 360 Sprint Cars, Wild West Modified Tour, High Plains Late Model Series, Dwarf Cars and Rocky Mountain Midgets.
Sweetwater Speedway is a premier motorsports facility located in Rock Springs, Wyoming at 3320 Yellowstone Road. The dirt track is a 3/8 mile track with high banks and a go kart track in the infield.
Facts about Sweetwater Speedway:
Pit Gates open at 2pm
Grandstands open at 5:30 pm
Racing starts at 6pm with Go-Karts and 7pm for the regular show.
