Merrittville Speedway Announces Perfect Attendance Bonus Plus More!!!
THOROLD, ONTARIO (April 13th, 2022) … As Merrittville Speedway gets ready for it’s 71st season, payouts and bonus money are beginning to fully take shape. Track owners Don and Lorraine Spiece have confirmed that weekly purses will pay over $127,000 over the course of the season. Several sponsors have additionally provided bonus money to each class.
The Spiece family is proud to announce Merrittville Speedway’s 2022 Perfect Attendance Bonus. This bonus will pay every driver with perfect attendance in the 5 divisions that make up Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series (358’s, Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Mod Lites, & 4 Cylinders) an additional $500.00 year end cheque. Perfect Attendance payouts will take place at the Annual Night of Awards and Recognition Banquet November 12th, 2022, at John Michaels Conference and Banquet Centre.
In light of the recent passing of former Driver and Crew Chief Mikey Granton, Davey Moore and Kelly George have increased their weekly bonus. Originally, a random winner each week would receive an additional $106.00 in payout. As a tribute to Granton, that has now been increased to $133.00.
Throughout the season, weekly bonus money has been made available to the Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modified Class and Vansickle Pet Valu/Pet Valu on the Lane 4 Cylinders. Each night in the 358 class, Brian’s Tire has pledged $100.00 in additional money to a random driver. While Jeff Riley of Vansickle Pet Valu/Pet Valu on the Lane will pay an additional $50.00 to the winner each night in the 4-cylinder class.
Multiple sponsors have also stepped up to provide bonus money on individual nights of racing. Pavilion Dentistry will contribute an additional $500 in the form of 5 $100.00 bonuses for the Southern Ontario Sprints on June 25th. The Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modified’s will have 5 additional $100.00 prizes for their feature on July 23rd courtesy Lakeside Dental. On August 27th, the Hoosier Stocks will receive 5 $100.00 additional payouts from Dentistry Dunnville. Lastly, crew member from Larment Racing, Ben Hoffman, will pay $117.00 in additional money to all 6 divisions on August 6th.
