"Schools Out for Summer" Canada Day Fireworks and Food Drive This Coming Saturday Night
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 28, 2022) … The show will be seen on the track and in the sky this coming Saturday night at the Merrittville Speedway as Bobcat of Hamilton will be presenting a full card of racing plus Canada Day Fireworks will light up the sky! School Bus Racing will also be on the card as part of the “School’s Out for Summer” program.
As part of the festivities this weekend, the track will be handing out 500 Canada Day Cupcakes prepared by Sugar Lane Bakery . There will also be Bouncy Castles for the kids prior to the racing program, with gates opening at 5 pm to get the Canada Day party going. A food drive in support of Community Care St. Catharines will also take place in the concourse and pit side. Those wishing to donate can bring a non-perishable food item to be collected.

Capping off the night will be the popular School Bus Race.
Both the pits and grandstands will open at 5 pm, with racing getting underway at 7 pm Saturday night at “Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track”.
