Civic Holiday Doubleheader Up Next at Merrittville
THOROLD, ONTARIO (July 26, 2022) … Merrittville Speedway will be back in action for the Civic Holiday doubleheader this coming Saturday and Monday. Racing at Merrittville on Civic Holiday Weekend is a tradition that goes back nearly all the 71 years that Merrittville Speedway has been in operation.
Exclusive Imprint will be presenting the Saturday portion of the Civic Holiday doubleheader. Saturday’s racing will be a full Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series program featuring the Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds, Right Choice Auto & Leisure Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders, RONA/Doidge Building Centres Mod Lites, plus the V6 division will be back in action.

Saturday’s program will begin at 7:00 pm, with pit gates opening at 5 pm, and grandstands opening at 5:30 pm.
A first for Canada’s Oldest Dirt Track will be taking place on Civic Holiday, Monday, August 1. Baron Roofing & Siding will be presenting the Canadian GRAND Nationals. Drivers and fans alike will have a chance to walk out of the facility with $1000, and a lucky child in attendance will have the chance to leave Merrittville with 1,000 pieces of candy.
The Corr/Pak Merchandising 358 Modifieds will compete for the area's richest paying race, $4,000 to win and $300 to start. The Right Choice Auto & Leisure DIRTcar Sportsman and Hoosier Stocks will battle it out for $2,000 to win each, while the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders and the RONA/Doidge Building Centres Mod Lites will be contending for a $1,000 top prize. The 4 Cylinder event will be the Insta-Panels Duel on the Dirt combined race.
